Central Florida Chapter 42

UPCOMING SBE 42 MEETINGS

Meetings will be at the Z88.3 Conference Center and begin at 6:30pm unless otherwise noted below. Food & refreshments will be available 30 minutes prior to meeting.

March 4th:
Professional Communications Systems will present a program on "Miranda".

April 1st:
Our own Bill Schwartz will present his paper on grounding!

May 6th:
Jim Latimer, Eastern Regional Sales Manager - Symetrix
Jim will be demonstrating 2 of the latest digital audio processors under the AirTools line of broadcast products. He'll be showing the new Multiband Processor 2m, a full-featured stereo processor for air chain-type processing on headphone sends, satellite uplink/ingest, web streaming, production, and more. The extensive list of tools, fully adjustable via a Windows GUI, provides the broadcast or mastering engineer with a very formidable ally in the war on unwieldy audio. He will also be demonstrating the Voice Processor 2x. This unit provides independent processing for 2 microphones in a single rack space. Its completely digital signal path includes filtering, expansion, de-essing, compression, and equalization. All of these settings can be saved into any of 50 onboard presets, thus allowing a studio microphone to be optimized throughout the day to the voices passing through it.
